I've been interested in GeorgiaTech since the beginning of my engineering studies at Arts & Metiers. Actually, I was looking for some abroad adventures providing me a high level of knowledge with a different approach than the french one.
So, GeorgiaTech matched perfectly with this desire as I could enjoyed being abroad, studying what I really want and met new people from many nationalities.
GeorgiaTech allowed me to discover a lot of new things, but not only in studies, because I could travel a lot in the US when I was there and discover unique places. Believe me, you learn as much traveling as studying, and that's what could impact your personal life.
It has been a way for me to higher my English skills in order to be able to work easily in english. That way I could get my first Job with Schlumberger and the double degree GeorgiaTech provide with many Schools all around Europe has been crucial too.
GT can definetely be a stepping-stone for your life.
As an example, straight after graduated I could get my Field Engineer job in Drilling with Schlumberger and I'm now working in Bahrain. Again, I have the opportunity to meet new people, cultures and have the chance to work with high technology tools used in many countries. I will continue to move across countries, and getting more responsabilities.
GT will impact you professional career for sure!
Just do it!
